Napalm Death - Noise For Music's Sake (2003 - Earache)

Noise For Music's Sake

More death/grind than you can throw a stick at. This is an essential collection of the finest metal slabs from these Birmingham based anti-corporal, anti-capital, anti-fascist politically fuelled heroes. Their brand of bastard heavy noise kicks arse still, nearly 20 years on from their conception! It ranges from the brutal 'Hung' to the comedy of the three second wonder that is 'You Suffer'.
All Napalm fans should buy this, even if you have all the albums due to the second disc packed to the rafters with nasty delights. Live tracks, unreleased tracks, new versions, this has enough to make any metal fan soil themselves with excitement!

Black Seeds Of Vengeance

Nile's second album was going to be a challenge after creating such a great previous album
'Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren Ka', but they met the challenge and conquered all.
This is truly a kick arse album. Stuffed with infectious songs and laden with mind-bending,
ear-bleeding techincality, speed, and heaviness.
Their egyptology inspired themes are perfectly visualised through the music.
The abrasive, dry atmosphere conjures images of the desert. The majesty of it all envisages the pharohs in all their glory.
Nile have a sick deathly groove pulsing through all thier releases and i think this is what makes it such great music to bang your head to all day long.
It is evident on the track 'Nas Akhu Khan She En Asbiu' especially.
This comes highly recommended.

In Their Darkened Shrines

We had a lot to expect of Nile after having impressed so much with thier earlier material, but yet again these South Carolina boys did it agian!
This album grabs you by the balls and doesnt let up till the dying beauty of 'In Their Darkened Shrines IV: Ruins'.
It is a lot more pounding and threatening than previous incarnations of Nile. The riffs are infectious, the songs are cleverly crafted.
It has a lot of vision also, this is epic death metal. The songs progress beautifully and transport you through their ancient sandy world.
'Unas Slayer Of The Gods' and 'Sarcophagus' are notable epic masterpieces.
To put it short this record is pure fucking genius and it is just one of those unbeliveable achievements.
Thankyou Nile!
